Super Bowl Workout!

I'm one of those people who only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials.  So while I sit in my office updating Facebook and my blog I'm keeping one ear open for commercial breaks.  I then jump up from my chair and run into the family room to check out the commercials.  Once the game is back on, I run back to my place in the office.  It makes for a great workout.

So far I'm not impressed by Budweiser, the TeleFlora commercial was kind of funny, and I get to suffer through another Transformers movie that's set to open July 1st.  (My boys love the Transformers movies.)

Once I finish publishing this post, I'm on to learning about my latest software purchase, Adobe Photoshop Elements.  I've read in a few artist publications about how it's been a valuable tool.  I'm anxious to give it a go not only in my artistic endeavors, but in my photobook creation endeavors as well.

Painting #6 is somewhat abstract for me.  My reference photo was provided by fellow creative mind, Chanda Cook.  She's emailed to me several great images of flowers and this was one of them.  Thanks Chanda!

  2. You seem to be a bit like me.....I jump up during the commercials to clean something. The standing joke was that I am a "commercial cleaner." It does make for good exercise though, doesn't it.

  4. Also a superbowl commercial fan! I think you will like your photoshop elements, I took an online class when we first bought it, it helped me figure out some of the basics quickly. I think you will enjoy it.
Your painting is beautiful, your flower floats softly in the colorful background.

  5. Sooo true about the commercials. I do love football but when I don't really care which teams win, then the commercials take top billing. I didn't think they were much this year :-( I totally agree with you about Transformers...it should have stayed a cartoon.

  6. Yeah, the commercials weren't that great this year - I think they get less creative every year. I watched some of the game, almost all of the commercials, and read at the same time. I thought this single flower was, perhaps, a statement of being the lone one not caring who wins or loses? :) And it seems to be standing against the wind, too!

  8. Thanks Sheryl...the background began as a light wash, but then I decided to kick it up a notch. I'm glad I did.

You're right Carol....we have that in common. I'm constantly multi-tasking while watching tv. The only time I sit and focus on a show is when Survivor is on...have to pay attention during that one.

    Thanks Pat!

Maria...I sure am hoping I learn it quick. I borrowed a book from my neighbor on it and fell asleep reading it!

Yes Crystal...it definitely should've stayed a cartoon. I know way too much about the Transformers (and not by choice!).

Rhonda...one of my facebook friends asked if everyone liked all of Chryslers expensive Super Bowl commercials, after all we did bail them out!!

    Thanks Tim!!
