I wish I had learned another language. I just think it's wonderful having the opportunity to connect with other artists from all over the world through blogging and be able to communicate with them no matter where they are from. Next to my house is a meadow, where they grow wild, escaped from gardens. :)

I don't like raw colors straight from the tube, so I always mix them on a pallet. Even if I use ready-made greens, I always break the color, using yellows, reds, blues or browns.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I grew up in Montgomery Co. and moved down here when my husband got a teaching job on the east side along the river. I did not try WC until 12 yrs. ago and fell head over heals with it. I look forward to getting to know you through our blog/artwork.

As for your "greens" I am still trying to figure them out myself. It is the most complained about color amongst my friends too. I too use violet/ultramarine to darken my colors and use in shadows, however, in greens I sometimes use Aliz. Crimson because opposites on the color wheel works the best.
GaylynnGaylynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13151910557587598472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5885956111156401187.post-71419775398391394272010-09-23T07:07:58.973-04:002010-09-23T07:07:58.973-04:00Thank you Becky. I like your idea of adding the violet to darken, I just always use the red and blue separately- saves a step!
SherylMermaid's Palettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07350174833218228420noreply@blogger.com
